Reverend Sherry Mitchem has been leading the Paonia congregation since 2000. Pastor Sherry is an ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene for more than 25 years. Along with serving the combined Nazarene and First Christian Church congregations in Paonia she is serving as a volunteer hospital chaplain, volunteer nursing home chaplain, pastor of the Cedaredge Church of the Nazarene and serves on the Colorado District credentialing board. Previous ministries include hospice chaplain, and character development presenter for the Delta wing of Civil Air Patrol.
